THE START FOR MANY YOUTHFUL BRIGHT LIKE MINDED PEOPLE

By Journalist Jose Luna (RSC)

The first senate meeting started with everyone getting in position for an era of new Oklahoma Intercollegiate. As the seats were taken, many were very lost but quickly caught on.

At the start of the meeting, many begin to appreciate the start of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature as there are only about 4 in the whole country. The excitement to be a part of something that could otherwise not be there is the experience of all parts of government and might be said of society is so important and fun.

As time went by, a great speaker and, in my opinion, a motivator to some, Dustin Rowe came to tell about his experience growing up and had many complaints about not having a younger person to represent in the city council. He said he felt a little bit different. He did not do the same things as other kids did. He was more honest and trustworthy. He started to cut lawns as a kid and gained a reputation for having great honesty, and people liked that he learned really quickly. That reputation is a very important factor in one to a good force on earth as the world seems to sometimes move in a different direction.

Dustin Rowe mentioned, “For those who seek to change, they have to work very hard and believe you can change”

Fatima Dumail (ORU) she liked the speaker. It was touching to her and connected as she said the Bible verse really stood out to her “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” She also said that adversity can really get in the way of some steps of life.

And it finishes with very excited people and ready to start in the game and do what we can do to better Oklahoma.
