Top 5 Things to Have at Session From Kylee Laginess
As we enter a new year of OIL, we again see new delegates entering this great organization.
For many of them this may be the first time they ever walked on Oklahoma State Capitol grounds.
This may cause some nervousness about what they should have at session.
Well from our current lieutenant governor, Kylee Laginess, who’s now running for governor. She offers her top five things to have at session.
- Comfortable shoes, “everyone’s a little crammy when feet hurt!”
Since delegates are here dealing with long 12-hour days. It is good to have a pair of shoes that are comfortable for these long days. So when thinking about what you should have at the Capitol, always bring a good pair of shoes with you that are comfortable and look stylish!
- An open mind
OIL is all about new experiences and learning new things. Since delegates are all from different parts of Oklahoma, each new semester brings more perspectives to the conversation. It’s good to always have an open mind.
- A lint roller
A lint roller is good to have when wanting to maintain a professional look throughout your stay at the capital. You always want to show your best face, and you know no hair on your jacket. So don’t forget to lint roller!
- A blazer, “that makes you feel like a girlboss, even boys!”
When at the Capital, you always want to of course look your best, but also feel your best. It helps you give you that boost of confidence that you need when you feel that you are looking good. So having a good Blazer is a great idea!
- Pens
Of course the last is pens. This is a great thing to have throughout your entire stay at this spring session. Pens have many great uses. You will definitely need one in whatever section of the competition you are in. So don’t forget your pens!
