Veterans Day from OIL Fashionistas

Happy Veterans Day from OIL Fashionistas

Jessica Zimmerman (OU), November 11, 2021

Today is Veterans Day. To honor all who have served, the fashion theme for the second day of OIL is red, white, and blue. Some delegates chose a more subtle display of support by dawning a simple red or blue tie or even a pair of shoes. Others wore bright suit jackets or dresses that proudly display patriotic colors.

As delegates from both the Senate and the House of Representatives gathered together to vote on judicial retention, the line of voters was a beautiful display of red white and blue.

Several members of the Senate posed for photos to show off their OIL fashion.

Senator Evan Shaw (TU), Senator Tyler Gregory (NWOSU), and Senator Braedon Cook (NWOSU) posed together after voting.

Senator Phyllis Bell (OU) and Senator Alexis Ruiz (OBU) made a wonderful pair with their blue and red jackets. Senator Bell had paid extra attention to details with blue eyeliner that matched her outfit.

Senator Canyon McGee (OBU) graciously posed for his picture despite his rush to get back to the Senate.
