The Shroom Shepherd

OU-503 is a bill that is advocating for the use of psychedelic mushrooms in order to cure disorders such as PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, etc. This unique bill was presented by Representative Bluth who has done extensive research on the use and effects of psychedelic mushrooms for these disorders. According to his explanation, the long-term effects had shown to be beneficial to the user thus far. The mushrooms come in the form of a capsule pill, and the amount of shrooms prescribed by a medical professional is relatively low. It is in the author’s opinion that the use of mushrooms are more effective than prescribed anti-depressants.

If an individual is caught with the psychedelic drug unlawfully, then they are subjected to be fined $200 per gram that is found. In the event that a company is unlawfully producing this substance, they will be fined no less than $2000.

Although there was seriousness to the bill, one could not help but notice the humorous element that was brought amongst the body. While one is taking the substance in order to improve their health, they are literally getting high while doing it. The trips that people go on while on shrooms seem to be rather enjoyable, even if an individual experiences an occasional bad trip. Mushroom users are metaphorically collectively tripping their way back to well-being.

The bill was not too controversial in the house, but the representative was a major advocate for the use of medical mushrooms. Representative Bluth demonstrated his willingness to fight for the use of this psychedelic substance that he should now be dubbed “Representative Shroom Shepherd.
