Every session, the leadership of Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature provides entertainment for the students who are here in session. Although the activities change from session to session, delegates have an enjoyable time. For this session, delegates who have purchased an entertainment pass will be able to enjoy a scavenger hunt, a trip to the zoo and what will surely be a fun night at Dave and Busters. Someone who is most excited about the event is one star Senator Abigail Peters of the Rogers State University delegation.
Taking place downtown in Bricktown, students will have the ability to see Oklahoma City in a different way. Dividing into teams, the delegates will hunt down town for clues provided by the leadership that will culminate at the zoo. Senator Peters is equally excited about the zoo.
“I am so looking forward to seeing the zoo,” Peters said, “but the scavenger hunt will be the most exciting part of this whole trip. Not that seeing everyone I’ve become friends with won’t be exciting, but I am very competitive person, and I want to win! My delegation already knows that if we lose, I will be very disappointed in them.”
Another delegate from Rogers State University, Representative Bethany Wayne, is also excited for the scavenger hunt.
“Although I am not particularly good at scavenger hunts, I am still pretty excited about it,” Wayne said. “I know Abigail is pretty good at them, or at least enthusiastic about it, so she will make up for my lack of experience. It should be a good way to see downtown and also to get to know and connect with fellow delegates.”
Although the scavenger hunt will be a surprise to most, perhaps the delegates got an idea of how the scavenger hunt will be when Governor Murphy lead the committee on a wild goose chase throughout the Capitol building. The leadership of O.I.L will surely lead the delegates on a scavenger hunt that will leave them equally frustrated and excited. Either way, anyone who will participate in the scavenger hunt will have an experience that they will surely not forget.
