With every session of Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature, there comes the style and fashion from each delegation. The Fashion Committee set up the dress days for session and delegates came to impress.

Wednesday, Political Party Day

OSU delegate Kristen Martin (left) and Head Freshmen Liason Ashley Schultz (right) dressed in their respective political parties for the first day of the session. Though they both have different ideologies, they still maintain a healthy friendship.

Thursday: Traffic Light Day

Green is for a person who is single, red is for a person who is in a relationship and yellow is for someone who says “it’s complicated.” When Representative Grace Minter from OBU walked into house committee meetings Thursday morning, she was wearing all three colors!

When asked what her relationship status was, she took off her red jacket and said “It’s complicated… but I’m single!”

Friday: Print Day

From animal print to floral prints, Friday had a lot of fashion from the representatives and senators. Chief Justice Sophia Machalec brought style by wearing two different types of print. She wore a red plaid peacoat jacket with a black and white polka blouse.

When asked about wearing the two prints, she said that it was a bold move and doesn’t regret doing it.

Saturday: Black & White Day

Not everything is black and white when bills hit the floors. There can be some grey areas that aren’t addressed at first, so amendments are made and caucusing commences to better understand the issues. However, on Saturday, delegates came to the session dressed in their best

Representative Olivia Woodrich of ORU (second on the left) brought her energy to chambers and also brought her style. Representative Woodrich wore a black and white dress. This dress was sleek and professional nonetheless.

Sunday: School Spirit Day

O.I.L brought 16 delegations to the capitol this past weekend. As delegates represent their alma maters with great pride through O.I.L. there needed to be a day where delegates could come dressed in their delegations colors.

Representative Katie Beltz of OU brought her full suit of maroon, and a white turtle neck to top off the look. To represent her delegation, she threw up the one and yelled “boomer,” during caucusing.
